meddling
Hello.

I am having a big dilemma here.

I have a publishing point in WMS playing 2 files. File 1 is supposed to play on a continuous loop until File 2 is scheduled to play.

However, file 2 MUST BE played together with a SAMI file - and I am not able to append the ?SAMI=http://xyz.com/file.smi - url in the playlist. I tried referencing the above scenario thru a WSX playlist but it did not allow me to use symbols such as & and ?.

How can I accomplish this? It is crucial that I manually switch the file at the publishing point, because no one is supposed to start watching this video before a certain time. Even though I can make the switch happen, how can I tag the extra bit (SAMI=http://xyz.com/file.smi) to the file once I switched it?

Another problem here is that lots of people will login to watch an hour before the show and will leave their computers connected - these are the people i need to be sure they can see captions once I switch the video.

NEED HELP ASAP!!!!
