Hello All,

My name is Pamela Fisher. I have recently been inspired after the passing of a brother and both of my parents to Conduct a geneology study of my maternal and paternal sides of my family. I have had great success with my maternal side of the family, but not such good luck with my paternal side. I come from a long line of Catholics. Many relatives once attended St. Leonards Church in Monessen,Pa.In fact my father was baptised in St. Leonards Church. Can anyone tell me how accesible records are that might give me clues to ancestors beyond my grandparents Herman and Gertrude Damaska?

Any information would be helpful.

Seasons Greetings,
Pam

You might try looking at Jewish records and last names. Many Jews during the Spanish Inquisition and during WWII converted to Catholicism for various reasons, and some Jewish orphans were raised by Catholics during WWII.
