Just found this forum whilst researching Vulcans used in operation Black Buck.
Recently watched restored XH558 flying at local show and as usual my local newspaper said that it had flown in the Falklands raids. As far as I am aware there were only 3 Vulcans flown out to Ascension Island viz: XM597, XM598 and XM607.
Would someone please confirm or otherwise clarify this for me?
There are lots of references to the above 3 aircraft but as there is never any mention of any others I have assumed that these were the only ones to actually fly out to Ascension.
