Hello.
I am trying to find out if Michael Thomas Sweeney is still a part of the (Capital) Gold team. I used to listen to his "At the Hop" Saturdays then Sundays, then repeated on Thursdays show over the ebst part of what must be nearly 10 years.
The music was smack on the nail spanning that period between the early 50's and usually just pre-Beatles. Mike concentrated on the stuff that you rarly hear anymore - as well as some of the old favourites and was/is a mine of interesting knowledge and stuff.
I loved it and was bit miffed when it was moved to Sunday. Now there's no sign of it and I wonder what has happened. The Gold station website stilllists the show and the presenter - but may not be up to date.
Can anyone tell me what has / is happening?
Miss you Mike
