After transfection of maize embryos with superbinary agrobacterium I get a number of transgenic plants with the selective marker (SM) gen but without the gene of interest (GOI. The analysis is done by PCR genotyping with gene-specific primers. The GOI is located near the right (RB) border and the SM gene is at the left border (LB). Any idea if that is normal or there is something wrong with my genotyping?
