Having just witnessed in personal(AHL) Abbotsford HEAT Coach Jim Playfair "snap" following questionable call by Referee Jamie KOHARSKI...a snap where Playfair climbed on the bench,ripped off his jacket then proceeded to smash 2 hockey sticks into firewood,before being thrown out of the game . Playfairs actions reminded me very vividly of being at Queens Park Arena New Westminster years ago and witnessing then Bruins coach Ernie "Punch' Mclean throw garbage cans and sticks on the ice to show his displeasure with the referee of that evening for a call against Bruins . Question is What year did McLean have his "meltdown"?
