Been FORCED to get off drugs and FORCED to go to meetings?

Seriously? Absolutely. It starts with parents. And then you get your first court appearance - 60-days of meetings in two months. Next, you get ordered to outpatient. Then inpatient. Then jail.

And then when you come out of jail, you start with outpatient.
And then 90 meetings in 90 days. Etc.

Jump out of the cycle now. Grab one somebody at a meeting and say, "Hey, I have to do this, could you help me get through today?" And then grab them again tomorrow and do it again.

Every today.

It's like the story of the guy who was caught in a flood with his family. He prayed for God to help him. A ground rescue team, helicopter, and a boat came to assist. He insisted the God would help him thru this and declined all efforts to help him.

The man drowned.

He asked God, "I had faith clear to the end, why did you not help me?"
God said, "I sent you a bus, helicopter and boat, what did you want?"

People are trying to help in their efforts to get us sober. We deny the help, thinking we are "forced", then we come to realize that the help has always been there, we just needed to join in and stop fighting.

God helps those who help themselves.

I pray we all stop fighting Him.

If you been forced it will not work you have to want it and only you will know nobody else they think they know but if they don't or haven't done it they will never understand but good luck on your recovery they love you but they do not know what they are forcing

We say that it doesn't matter how you get hear the seed is planted. Yes the program is for those who want it and not those who need it, but there are many members that get recovery when in the begining they didn't want it. Some come by courts or whatever and at some point recovery begins to make sense and they want it.

Yes of course but in the end they helped me. I was put into rehab and had to go to meeting and after that i got out and was court order and i still wasnt willing to give up my addiction so i went back out and landed myself in jail for 10mths i went to meetings there and found out how to safe my life im now home and countiue meetings and have complettly changed my life. while your in the meeting even if you are forced try to keep a Open Mind. And remember to only take it ONE DAY AT A TIME:)
