Eagle Scouts are expected to distinguish themselves in life as they have in the BSA. The Distinguished Eagle Scout Award recognizes an Eagle Scout for excellence in his profession for a period of at least 25 years following his attainment of the rank of Eagle Scout. About 1 in 1000 Eagle Scouts achieve this honor.
