Greetings, I've just discovered your site, thanks very much for this. I've recently heard some "knowledgeable" persons state that Mt. Tom is/was an active volcano. Is this correct? Also, isn't the mountain range notable for its east/west orientation, & that the ground around it sank, not that the mountains rose? Sincerely, neil fahey
