I'm just looking for some myths that entail a man travelling to another city and forming a relationship with a woman. The man travelling is the key to it.
Any help appreciated.

It's classic hero's journey. How about Jason (and the Argonauts) meets Medea.
You can also look at film - most movies follow the pattern - lookup Kal Bashir's version of Hero's Journey, which is very detailed.
