Given x-9 = -18/x. Graphed this is a straight line and a hyperbola. If it is transformed into a quadratic, it is x^2-9x+18. This graph is a parabola, with the same solutions. I am puzzled by such a dramatic change in relationships. Can someone help me out or point me in a useful direction?

Thanks,
Peter
