Im 52 today! In the mid 1960s my maternal grandfather gave me a copy of "Selborne" as a birthday present, and altho I have read it many times, i still learn more with each review. I have entered into this communication in a bid to meet like minded people who have in some way or other, been influenced by the named individual, and would very much welcome comments and discussion on the same -there are many things that my intuition and intellect wish to confirm and queary. I must confide to wishing that I could meet Gilbert, so as to understand his make up and personality -allowing for that the two are separate elements and not the same! It might be added that I find the likes of Gilbert hard to locate, even in this age of communication, and that he was, to use a coined phrase, "genius in innocence". If you have any affiliation to Gilbert White whatsoever, I would very much appreciate hearing from you, and no- I am not infatuated, yet merely seeking answers lost in time.
