 As of December 2008 there are no officially documented reports of successful human cloning. Yet falsified cases of human cloning abound since the concept stuck in the popular imagination in the 1970s.

 A recent case involved Dr. Samuel Wood, who claimed to have cloned five healthy human embryos using DNA from adult skin cells.
