If we EVER find life elsewhere in our galaxy, would YOU rather find a vast ecosystem of different NEW species, or just another intelligent life?
I have thought about this subject on more than one occasion and I cam to the conclusion that I personally would rather find an ecosystem... But enough about me, I would like to hear your thoughts.

Why do we need another ecosystem? We'd only screw it up as we are screwing up earths ecosystem. I would rather a interreaction with intelligent races who could actually teach man how to maintain and strengthen the wonderful ecosystem we were gifted with by evolution and this wonderful planet.

This wasn't really a question of what would the consequences be when we discover one of these things, more what you would rather stumble upon as a first discovery. But since you ask, if we were to find an ecosystem teeming with new life, it would be a breakthrough in biological discoveries, opening new possibilities for life, well, that and it'd be good to get off of this ruined planet and start to ruin another XD but in all seriousness i'm sure the people who discovered this ecosystem and habitable planet, would do all that they could to keep people like money & power hungry corporations from ruining it.
Also, I respect your decision and think that another intelligent species would be tremendous as we could learn so much from another intelligence such as our own.
Thank you for your response :)
