I have two antique Winchester rifles that were owned by a Northern Cheyenne Indian named, Woodenleg, who was 18 years old when he fought at the Battle of the little BigHorn in Montana. The rifles are a "Winchester 73" (i.e. "The gun that won the West") and a model 1876 45-60 buffalo rifle. These guns were used as collateral when Woodenleg needed some money and borrowed from my grandfather, who managed the Lame Deer Trading Post in Lame Deer, MT for some 45 years. The guns were never claimed and Gramp passed them on to me in 1950. I'm wondering what they would be worth and how I can go about marketing them??
