My great great grandfather, Robert Williams, was employed at the Works for at least 30 years. I am interested in finding out more about the Works and about Roberts employment. He has been variously listed in census reports and on vital statistic records as a boilermaker, riveters holder and labourer in the plate shop. He seems to have lived in company housing for the most part (1861-Marshfield Lane, 1871-Church Coppenhall, 1881-Adelaide, 1891-Ramsbottom).

I have purchased a copy of Brian Reed's book (yet to arrive) but was wondering if there might be other sources that I could refer to for old pictures or employment records.
