Our country is headed for a severe depression if the abuse/misuse of foodstamps/EBT, medicaid and social security/disability payments is not controled. We could lose all these programs for the truely needy
I work for a convience store that accepts EBT. It makes me upset when these young kids (18-30) use EBT to purchase energy drinks, chips, soda, and other 'junk' food THEN they use cash to buy Beer, cigarettes, lottery tickets. This is nonsense! The program should be for staple food items only: milk, bread, vegatables, fruit, etc. and items used to prepare food.
How many millions could be cut from the national/state budget if someone had enough courage and brains to fix this abuse.
