If consciousness is composed of non-living and living entities which flow in a direction, ought not we to apply the idea of consciousness to all things?

I contend that if "miracle stuff" is to be applied to homo sapiens, then it must be applied to electrons. I will contend that Pirsig provides the best answer to this question when he describes reality as a conflict between static quality and dynamic quality. This can be measured by putting an ameba in a Petri dish containing both pond water and acid and give the single cell a choice. I've done this an found that given a "choice", the ameba will choose quality over suicide.
