I've just come across your post and I am extremely interested in your question. You may be a distant relative of mine. My father Martin Meredith's uncle was Arthur Meredith mayor of Kidderminster.

That is interesting, although I am not aware of Arthur having any siblings. Could you explain your knowledge of your father Martin's ancestors.
Do you know of David or Maureen Meredith another grandson and granddaughter of Arthurs, sadly there are only three grandchildren left now.

Arthur Meredith had several siblings a sister Elsie, brothers Albert,(my grandfather) Percy and one other who died young. All four children had a family. We can give you fully details if you so wish though we have been out of touch for some time. We live in Kidderminster. Are we correct in thinking your mother was Marjorie who both my Mum and Dad knew? We may be able to find out about David and Maureen by asking relatives.

I should know you by all accounts. Yes Marjorie and George Smith were my parents, I have a brother Robert and David and Maureen were my mothers' brother Perce's offspring. Maureen died a little over 12 months ago in Ireland. David resides near Pershore. I had no idea about Arthurs brothers and sister, however I do remember meeting relatives as a very young girl but of course had no idea who they were and didn't ask, you don't when you're small.
Both Marjorie and Stan Meredith are deceased, Percy and wife Hilda too.
