Does anyone know who I can contact concerning early (1800-1840) church/parish records from Bruchhausen-Vilsen, Germany?

My Bergmann ancestors immigrated from Bruchhausen to America in about 1840. Unfortunately, I don’t know which religion the family was.

When I contacted the archives in Bruchhausen-Vilsen, they said the vital records for Bruchhausen didn’t begin until 1874 and parish records after 1905. They suggested I contact the Churches/Parishes of Vilsen for old parish records from Bruchhausen.

Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
