Does anyone know how old is the oldest, in use trampoline? Ours was purchased in July 1988, making it 23 years old next month...not only is it used by my kids now, but it has survived 23 Alaskan winters too!

Wow! 23 years is great for an outdoor trampoline. I work for a company called Trampoline Central in the UK so come across a lot of old trampolines, but never anything that old.

I'd guess you have kept it in storage during harsh weather, used a cover to protect the bed and maintained it regularly.

High Quality garden trampolines are hard to find at reasonable prices, but if you look after them well it certainly does extend the expected lifespan of any outdoor garden trampoline.

The oldest indoor trampolines I have come across were 39 years old and still had there original fame pads. I was doing an annual safety inspection at a school and condemned them as the metal frame was fatigued. The second oldest is a trampoline I used to bounce on as a child, I was eight or nine when I started and I still use that trampoline for trampoline coaching courses 32 years later. Parts have been replaced along the way, but the frame is as sturdy as it was 32 years ago.

You can see indoor trampoline frames on the trampolinecentral.co.uk website to see how they differ from outdoor garden trampolines.
