Does anyone have any info regarding the exact location of the old Mount Tabor well and pump house? Here is what I know: It was built in 1891, started service on July 1st of that same year. The well was located near property first owned by the Henness family and then the Welch family. Clues indicate that the well should be located within 150 feet of the western boundary of Welch's property. The city of Portland purchased the well and related company in 1903 for 25,000 dollars. The well is recorded as having been 4 feet in diameter and 222 feet deep.
