Does anybody know the origin of the term "Dead White European Men" or, perhaps, a first used variation, if this was not the original term? Can it be cited prior to the 50's -60's eras?

That would be my guess too. But who originated the term. I'm guessing it would be the possessor of a bright mind, associated with, if not immersed in, academia, equipped with a gift for pithy phrasing and an instinct for marketing. And given the phrase itself, I'd add a lack of interest at the time, in applying such talents to making money. (So a guy like Abby Hoffman maybe.) But I don't know at all and thought I'd ask.
