No he is not a leader and if he had been properly Vetted by the press he would not be ,Hillary Clinton would be. However when you have 99% of the press controlled by one group and only one telling some different form of the picture this what we get and will get. Looks as though you and I are about the only ones who care enough to at least talk about it.

Well tell me something there genuis, If the press was not primarily controlled by one group then why is Fox the only news organization that reports a different view point.

Yes Nick22 the press is to blame and is controlled by one group LIBERALS, they are the people who think (arrogantly) that they know what is good for everyone, they are the ones who feel that the European model is what America should be emulating, or being like,if the press were truthful to the American people, we would know a lot more about Obama and the government, did YOU know that 154 times Obama voted "present"instead of yes or no in the Senate, who votes present???? A person who cant make a stand or their mind up on what to vote, an appeaser, a person who cant be decisive, would you like your doctor to be like that ??? I think not.

Yes. You are correct. And as to your other comment, after this one, though Barrack Obama may be a good person, his policies are terrible, particularly healthcare. As a Republican, I don't believe that we should give everyone our money as welfare or for healthcare. And if we did get healthcare, the goverment would be saying who could get into hospitals or not. Yes. Then it would no longer be a question of if you could pay, but if they were going to give it to you. The goverment might refuse to give a dying cancer patient treatment, because they might not want to spend a million dollars on someone who probabally would die anyways. Yes, there are alot of ifs, but it is probable that that is what might happen if healthcare is instituted.
Healthcare has been voted unconstitutional by several states already.
Plus, have you looked at the budjet defecit lately? Rhode Island gave all of its teachers pink slips because it was so in debt. So if we did have healthcare, it would send us over the edge, a fall we could not recover from.
So there are my gloomy musings, Think through them.

I just dont think it's even economically plausible. Government has never been good at rationing specific goods, like healthcare. Perhaps limits, and taxation of products, but rationing actual goods doesn't sound like a great idea. But if you wanna talk about debt, its useless thus far. Nobody wants to touch entitlements or farm subsidies, which are the bulk of our debt. Before we can even think of lowering the defecit, we must address these problems. But nobody wants to lose elections or funding, so noone will address anything. So, to say healthcare would make an impact on our defecit is sorta benign, because we already know where the bulk of our debt is coming from. This would just be another blip on the radar.

Do you have any idea of what healthcare would cost? Yes. It is possible that entitlements, etc. are the bulk of the debt, still. What is spending an estimated 3 billion going to get us? More into debt! The presidents ought to take more time getting rid of the debt than spending.
Did you know that if the United States took all of the money IN THE WORLD and put it towards patying thier debt, that we would still be 1 billion dollars in debt.
Healthcare most certaintly would NOT be another blip on the radar.
Dare you to prove me wrong.

Yeah, we get it, the debt is big. But if I'm not mistaken, the CBO(Congressional Budget Office) estimated that the healthcare bill would actually save the country money in the long run. And , by the way, the CBO is a nonpartisan committee. We all know that it's big corporate interests who've created our debt. Let's not try and blame healthcare just because it's here and it's convenient. Subsidies are where are debt stems from. Now here's a fun fact for you: the average farmer has more than 1/5 of his annual earnings subsidized by the government. It's called comparative advantage. The united states tries to grow fruits and vegetables that take up way too much of our resources, but hey, if it's on the governments tab, who cares? For example, we try and grow bananas here by artificially altering our conditions to suit banana growing conditions, when bananas can be grown much more efficiently in say, Nicaragua. it's stupid, but those agricultural interest groups sure do help win elections.

Yes, you may be right. As a matter of fact, I don't know all that much about politics or the economy other than the fact that both are in very bad shape.
Anyways, how on earth is the healthcare bill going to save the country money in the long run?
Yes, and it is ridiculous, the comparative advantage. I'd never heard of that before.

Ha. Then why're you arguing. You've gotta know enough about what you're arguing to be right. Comparative advantage is an economic term that describes when one country is just better suited to produce one thing then another country is. Like bananas.

You didn't need to define comparative advantage again. I got it the first time.
Though I do not know everything about politics, I am not stupid. I know enough that healthcare is a foolish idea, and will greatly hurt our country.
Yes, I know you keep saying most of our debt is from comparative advantage or whatever, but that's not even what we were arguing about in the first place! We are debating wether or not healthcare is right and will damage America. Correct?
If our country is so in debt it can't even hire teachers in Rhode Island, thats pretty bad, and healthcare would just make it worse, by having higher taxes, etc.
Many European countries have tried these programs where the government pays for everything. Now there are riots because they have to pay for some of college and can't retire at 50, with the government paying all expenses!
It doesn't work.

Thats like me arguing with someone about biology. Im not stupid but i still cant argue it. I dont know enough.
Were not arguing about that. We've agreed on that. What im arguing is that it is just a blip. Its like a guy with HIV catching a cold, and blaming his pain on the cold instead of the HIV. I mean, the CBO said this would save money. Non partisan CBO. If anyone tells the truth, they do. Healthcare isnt what is hurting us, but its just convenient to say so.

Another idiotic statement by the class clown.

Last time I checked, Rupert Murdoch wasn't a liberal. There.

Since you claim to like facts so much, there's one for you to GOOGLE. Don't get a headache.

The press being truthful to the public?! You are so out of touch you are on another planet. Their job, in theory, is to provide the public with the unbiased truth, but none of them ever have or will because all it is really about is ratings, because ratings bring in MONEY.

I voted for obama and I am not sorry I did. The problems facing us today are the result of many generations. It took a lot of nerve to even seek the presidency in these times.

The main reason I am writing this is because there is currently 250 trillion in gold in fort knox. The budget defecit could be easily rectified without hurting anyone. Am I the only one who thought of this ? The release of gold would have to be done slowly and systematically so as to not cause more havoc on the economies of the world. 1 trillion per month would be just fine. We are paying to protect this gold which could be put to better use.

what do you think ? jjtc2000@gmail.com
