Financial Success - is a broad Term. But if you are considering at a personal level, then I think it does.
My childhood, I do not remember having any pocket money until my college except when i went out for tours without my parents.
At the end of the day. we need to have the habbit of differentiating between Needs, Comforts, Luxuries.
Needs - spend money how much ever is needed
Comforts - once all needs are done. though not mandatory, it makes life good enough.
Luxuries - I say, not really required, take a minte and spend that amount for Needs to someone else.
People face problems, when they assume comforts/ Luxuries are needs.
