From time to time a photo of John does show up with Mae and her sister Beverly on eBay. There may be a picture of them in one of the several Mae West biographies.
One of my favorite stories about John was during the 1920's when he mentioned he was having trouble finding a job to a pal, the friend stated he should look in the want ads of the local paper. John reportedly replied, "but that's the problem, we don't get the newspaper!"
