Despite being an experience birder I have seen few Red-throated Pipits. Only in Norway many years ago. Recently we have seen birds we failed to identify in Parasol Pines, in hills, in Andalucia, thirty miles from the coast (Algaceras) These birds were close by migrating Tree Pipits.They seem to be Red-throated Pipits but duller. As the birds migrate to North Africa, could they be in this location?
