Dear friends, would you be so kind to answer my question. Do you know why priory of St. Mary Magdalene of Lund is also called priory of St. Mary Magdalene of Bretton. I suggest that there was a church consecrated in honor of St. Mary Magdalene in Lund (Lundwood) but priory itself layed nearby Bretton. Later St. Mary had begun to be viewed as a protector for Bretton and monks who lived there. As a result the priory had gradually become St. Mary Magdalene of Bretton. It seems to me that the links between St. Mary Magdalene and Bretton have as early origins as the begining of XIII century. What do you think about it? Many thanks in advance.

With best wishes,
Andrey
