As far as the sinking by gunfire of the Italian cargo ship Luigi Favorita goes, was she abandoned at the time, having been disabled by a torpedo launched by a Wellington aircraft the day before? Any info would be welcome. Also, did HMS Spledid's attack take place during the daylight.
