Dear Haldane of Gleneagles, Mr husband's name is Louis Haldane Weber. His father was Harry Charles Weber who related a story of acquaintance with General Haldane during and after WWI. Harry Charles Weber was adventurer his whole life. He recalls that after the Great War he stowed away on a British Troop ship and Gen Haldane "took him under his wing." Supposidly he sponsored my father-in-law in various boxing matches, shortly after the War. Can you confirm any of this. Harry's sole heir and son was named after General Haldane.
