Dear Dr Harry - we have a 7yr old mastiff X staffy who is afraid of storms. So much so that he is becoming distructive in his efforts to get into the house for safety. We installed a 'dog door' - after he broke the catdoor and made a hole big enough for him to fit through! Now he has access to inside the house he is in most of the day which is creating alot more trouble. The dog door comes with a metal sheath to shut out/in the animals and he is so strong (and determined) that he can just push it out!

He jumps onto our leather modular lounge and sleeps there during the day and throughout the night! He as 'free rain' in the house now. My husband is furious and in all our efforts to get him off by barracading the lounge he still somehow gets through/over. We have 3 children who are distraught at the thought of the dog being taken away, but I really don't know what to do and how to keep him off or out.

HELP US Dr Harry PLEASE!!!!

Regards......Terri
