Even though he was a con man - 6 Degrees is still Hampton's story. So many of the most important themes of the play are directly related to ideas that Hampton conceived, not Guare. He should have been given some credit for the story. I think Guare is an asshole for not acknowledging this. Guare wrote beautifully about it - but basically stole Hampton's ideas.
