I have faith in the literal Biblical explanation for "creation". I can only say that because I first have had blessed revelation of God revealed in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ (as multitudes of other sinnners have, by His grace and mercy!). Knowing this most astounding truth of the "Messiah" and the subsequent evidence of His resurrection and ascension to the Father's right hand, I can believe anything else that the Scripture teaches...even if I don't fully understand all of it!
Because I know the Lord Jesus Christ is risen and ALIVE, I have no trouble believing that He is also our Creator and that He has/had the ability to create our entire universe in 6 days and that He began the human race with the man, Adam...who was not decendant from some ape creature.
I recognize our "human" need to find what would seem "reasonable" explanations for the "time frame" of creation but I cannot accept any evolutionary views that theorize the element of "TIME" as if it were a real restriction or condition of the process of creation.
"TIME" is only a mechanism by which we measure the distance between "EVENTS". But God is both inside of and OUTSIDE of "TIME". We know that He's operating in the present and we know that he "STARTED" the event we call the universe. We know that He existed BEFORE the universe and outside of the realm of "TIME", as we know it.
So why is it necessary for a person of "faith" to try to fit the mystery of His creative abilities into a human rationale using distorted and deceptive "scientific" explanations...which are especially geared and motivated by vain attempts to totally "disprove" the reality of the God that we already know LIVES?
God could supernaturally place a boulder in the middle of your living room and you could invite the greatest geologists in the world to examine it, and they would say it was "X" millions of years old...because God created it with the quality of "age" simply using the ingredients at His disposal!
Knowing God in truth through Jesus Christ, and believing His written Word will not disappoint the faithful because the "WORD" will ultimately always being authenticated by true science and personal experience. This is already a historical truth that continues to be more and more unveiled. Blessing to all seekers of "TRUTH"!!
