Could someone please send me the correct greeting to others of the Islamic faith. And does it not mean Allahs peace be with you? and then the correct answer please. I would properly write it to my friends from Gambia.

Ah Salam Alaykum (The Peace of Allah be upon you) Person giving the Peace or Blessing
Alaykum Salam ( Allah's Peace be unto you) Person who received the Blessing returns it by saying this.
