All the changes with lower weight using carbon fibers and redesigning for reducing drag, combined with the hybrid technology will reduce fuel consumption in the Hypercar. Is there any thing in the works for converting the 60% of heat energy that is wasted in the exhaust and cooling systems to useful energy to propel the auto?. This will give a tremendous boost to fuel efficiency which will require a further reduction in engine size for the same size car
An European car manufacturer is experimenting with converting a fluid to a pressurised vapor with this heat which will power a turbine and add considerable weight to the vehicle because of the utilities associated with this type of system ( feed pumps,condenser and fluid reservoir).
