My grandmother Elizabeth Ann Williams was the only adult who lost her life in the disaster, together with my father's youngest sister Frances. I lived with the knowledge of the disaster all my life. For a very short time I attended the Clydach Vale School.

Hi HilWilll,

Looks like we share a relative, as Elizabeth Ann Williams was my Wife's Great Grandmother. I'd love to find out what you have found about these ancestors. I've managed to find details of Elizabeth's father, Ebenezer who died at sea on the ship "County of Aberdeen" and also of his father, another mariner...

Hi mjbayley,
Thanks for our email in connection with Clydach Vale. You say that my grandmother was your wifes great grandmother, I presume that she must be either Glenda or Josie, Norman's daughters. Only two of my cousins had children, and I did send all the information I had to my cousin Bill some time ago.

I have got a lot of information on the Williams/Davies families, and if you let me have your connection and email address I will let you have it. I have written a booklet about the Thomas Family of Llanychllwydog, and those descended from them. I have information on my grandfather's family which I have not documented too much as much of it is on the Celtic Royal Families on the internet, but I can let you know as much as I know and the website to go to.

I was Hilary Williams prior to my marriage. and my email address is hilary.prebury@ntlworld.com. I live in Leicester.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hilary
