Has no one else recognized the error that Dr. Murray made in his police interview about the Clonazepam that MJ was given?Clonazepam is in fact an anti-epileptic,a medication for seizure activity, not for sleep. It is ,also, given as an anti-anxiety med. It does in fact cause drowsiness, but this is not a med to be given for sleeplessness.I am a retired registered nurse and can pin-point mant mistakes Dr. Murray made. The primary mistake was in the complete lack of verbal recordings, written compilation of a day-to-day record of his care of MJ.I do not care how smart a person is, you cannot remember for days, let alone years what care you gave on such and such date let alone the medications and dosages given. That is the reason nurses, doctors and ancillary care givers of patients maintain records whether in the hospital or or the home. I have worked in both settings and you must have a system whereby you are able to prove or disprove what you administered. Dr. Murray was the only true legally culpable administrator of the meds MJ took, even if other meds were prescribed by other physicians ,because he was the only person in the house with a license enabling him to provide professional patient care. It would have been legally a better situation for him to have functioned as the coordinator of MJ's care, having personnel either adequately trained nurses or,even physicians under his direction. Why didn't MJ have a video monitoring system in his home for a continual record of activities in his home?I would if i were in his position.
It certainly would have been in MJ's best interest.
I will continue my observation of the proceedings of the trial with a very keen interest.
