For so many years I wondered why I had the strange pull of love and respect for the American Indian, I knew all they went through with loosing their lifes and land and the pain I could feel myself and at times I felt ashamed to be called an American. Now after many years of looking found that there was probably a good reason for my feelings of not belonging in the life I am living. I was told that I am a grand-daughter of Chief Ross, heaven only knows how many generations back being I'm 68 now. I am so sad it took so long to find this out, maybe my life would have been so much happier and I could have done something to help the people.
