Cesar Chavez and the United Fartm Workers held a convention at Das Institute in Isla Vista, a political collective where I lived at the time. I believe it was the national convention for 1972 or thereabout. Ron Kovik and the the Vietnam Veterans against the War/ Winter Soldiers' Organization also held their convention about the same time.
