16mm
I have an excellent 16mm print of this film which was produced, apparently by the United States Army, in 1943. (This should not be confused with a 1940 film of the same name.)
About the only information I can find about it is that Elisha Cook, Jr. is in the cast and that the film was nominated for a 1944 Academy Award in the best documentary feature category.
It seems odd that it was nominated in a feature category as it runs only 35 minutes. At least that is the running time of my 16mm print, and I found one listing that gives this same running time. But because it was nominated as a feature I'm wondering if there might be a longer version.
Other than Elisha Cook I don't recognize any actors in this film. I would would very much appreciate knowing names of the cast and crew and any other information pertaining to this film and its production. Thanks for any help you can offer!
