Can anyone tell me if the Spode family includes a Matilda(family lore is that she was a Spode) She met an actor with the last name of Cook, put her children in orphanges and ran away with the actor. The children were Emma Cook and Agness Cook. A Miss Rye subsequently sent many of the children in orphanages to Canada and the United States. From what I've learned so far, Emma was sent to Ontario, Canada to live with a family on a farm and Agness went to the United States.

I don't know if Matilda was a Spode or was married to a Spode.
