Can anyone refresh my memory on four strand back spicing. I was a "sailor" (I use the quotation marks because the last ship I was on was a 210,000 thousand tonne tanker)for many years and three strand was commonplace with occasional braided rope work. I was about to start a back splice today and ended up looking slightly confused. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks
