Can I bring my potted pine in for the winter, or does it need to go dormant. I live in Minnesota, and never got the tree planted because I liked it on the deck. MAM

You can keep it in the house for the winter if you want. Or, you can plant it now, October 3, 2010. Plant it in some good soil like a couple bags of Miricle-Gro soil. Even if planting in the fall I use a root stimulater. Plant and water good, use root stimulater and leave it alone. Well you can water once a week if you don't get rain. You can keep it in the house through the winter and plant in the early Spring. It's all up to you, what you want to do?

I use Miracle-Gro Quick Start as a root stimulater. I also use SUPERthrive added to my fertilizer. You can get SUPERthrive on Ebay. During Spring and Summer I use Alaska FISH FERTILIZER mixed with SUPERthrive once a week on everything. Both are Organic. Hope I helped, MAM.
