Can Campylobacter cause a human to get a swollen abdomen?
My dad was told he had this after giving a stool sample, but it has now been 2 weeks and the pain hasn't subsided, he has been on antibiotics and pain killers, but has now developed a swollen abdomen. Thanks.

Hi, iwas looking for someone else to talk to if they had campylobacter and it had left them with an aftermath of problems. I contracted it a year and 8 months ago, and am still ill, ma tummy swells constantly.
