CBS Evening News has done it again. Last night, they broadcast a glowing report of bull riding. CBS' people could have easily found the plethora of videos and discussion online detailing the rampant animal cruelty and corruption that's endemic to bull riding. But, not one word of that was mentioned on the bull riding segment-which sounded like an industry publicity release. And, maybe it was. In 2001, CBS' 48 Hours also did a flattering piece on bull riding, despite protests from animal rights groups. Makes you wonder just what is the relationship between CBS and the bull riding industry that makes CBS go beyond just one-sided reporting into actively reporting animal cruelty. Guess I won't be watching CBS Evening News again.
