By the way the cover and the back "summary" are shown and the colors of the book, I believe that the killing was an accident. Or at least that it was not intended. But why, I wonder, would they even consider scaring their teacher to the point of death anyway? What did they hope to acheive? Didn't they know that even if he managed to survive (which obviously he didn't) that they would get into MASSIVE trouble?

Maybe it was Halloween. Or they were just some awful kids. I can't even fathom their thinking.

You know how sometimes something turns out as a joke that is supposed to be funny but doesn't end up being funny, especially when there is peer pressure involved? I think this may be what happens, but I guess we'll see...!!
