Need a AJ27S motor for a 2000 XJR. Looks like a connecting rod or pieces of a piston blew a hole in the motor block???

It initially blew a head gasket, which resulted in a $5,000+ valve job. Didn't put 50 miles on the engine before the engine blew. It had only 84,000 pampered miles.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

You might try a conversion over to an American V-8 and automatic transmission into the Jaguar chassis... a 1978-80 rebuilt Chevrolet 350 cubic inch, V-8 engine with a th-350 automatic transmission should fit into the engine bay. but extensive re-fitting of motor mounts and accessories are needed to make it road worthy....It is a lot of work, but makes the car really fun to drive.
