Translation.. The German Enigma Code machine.A team of British mathematicians,and scientists based at BP Bletchley Park broke the codes of all German services. Air force 1940. Army & Navy 1941. This one major top secret project, shortened WW2 by at least 2 years.

When messages were decoded telling the Brits where a certain German Warship was to be found , it was IMPORTANT that the Brits must not let the Germans guess that their code had been broken - by flying straight TO that warship !

SO . . the Brits sent out 4 planes in different directions - one of which would "find" the warship, as if by "Luck" . There are many examples of how they must NOT let the Enemy know that their secret code was understood.
