Looking for some confirmation of a weasel sighting

I was in YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park last weekend. I saw a shiny, jet black weasel-type species run across an unpaved road ==> Bushy tail (~10"), bushy ears, maybe 14" from head to start of tail, about 12" standing upright with bottom on ground (like a cat standing).

Any ideas? Does this sound like a pine marten?

Thanks,
Rick

It sounds alot like a marten, weasel, or a chupakabra, an legend animal said to eat on any meat it can find!
