Bert Weaver won the first pga golf tournament after it was reintroduced in 1965 as the Jacksonville Open and this was played at Selva Marina. My question is this. What was the order of where it was played until it was discontinued after th 1976 tournament at Deerwood in order to make room for The Players Championship, first at Sawgrass CC and then at the TPC, Sawgrass. I know it started out as the Jacksonville Open and I believe that in 1968 the name was changed to the Jacksonville Open Invitational and then changed again in 1969 to the Greater Jacksonville Open. I also know that it started at Selva Marina for several years and moved to Hidden Hills. I also believe that it moved to Deerwood, back to Hidden Hills and ended at Deerwood. I would just like for someone that knows, to verify what years.
